Patricia Young
Our founder, Dr. Young attended Meredith College in Raleigh, NC for her undergraduate studies where she earned concurrent bachelor's degrees in chemistry and biology, was a member of the Kappa Nu Sigma Scholastic Honor Society, and received the prestigious "Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges" honor. Graduating magna cum laude in 1975 she immediately pursued her veterinary studies at the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine. She is certified in both veterinary physical rehabilitation and acupuncture.
Johanna Clark

Dr. Johanna Clark
Our Medical Director, Dr. Johanna Clark received her undergraduate degree in animal science from North Carolina State University in 1994. She went on to earn her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from North Carolina State University college of Veterinary Medicine in 1998, thereafter joining Steele Creek Animal Hospital. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the North Carolina Veterinary Medical Association. Her professional interests include neurology, oncology, internal medicine and dentistry.

Amy Kirkpatrick
Dr. Kirkpatrick earned her undergraduate degree in biomedical engineering from North Carolina State University in 2010. She received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2014. Dr. Kirkpatrick is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the North Carolina Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Kirkpatrick's professional interests include preventive medicine, surgery, pain management, dentistry, and ultrasound.

Amy Schuver
Dr. Amy Schuver graduated N.C. State in 2006 with an animal science degree with a concentration in animal genetics and nutrition. She went on to complete her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Tennessee in 2012. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the NC Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Schuver attended the Integrative Veterinary Medical Institute for Canine Rehabilitation in 2020-2021. She has attained her certifications in Veterinary Acupuncture (2016) and Canine Rehabilitation (2022) from Chi University, FL.

Dr. Judy earned her undergraduate degree in animal and veterinary science from Clemson University in 2000 and then went on to receive her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine in 2004 (from which she graduated cum laude). She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association. Her professional interests are in surgery and preventative medicine.

Todd Kirks
Dr. Kirks earned his undergraduate degree in speech-language pathology and french from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia in 2020. He then completed his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine in 2024. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the North Carolina Veterinary Medical Association. His professional interests include dentistry, surgery, preventative medicine, dermatology, and compassionate end-of-life care.
