Winona Daniels DVM

Dr. Daniels grew up on the Gulf Coast of Alabama, where she developed her love of animals from an early age. She always had a particular interest in reptiles and other unusual animals, which followed her to college. She studied at Auburn University, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Zoology in 2016 and then her DVM in 2020. She also spent her extra time volunteering in the herpetology lab and live animal collection to gain more experience with reptiles. After graduation, she moved out to western Colorado for a few years, but moved to the Charlotte area in 2022 to be closer to family.

Dr. Daniels sees a mix of dogs, cats, reptiles, and small mammals like rabbits, ferrets, and guinea pigs. She is very passionate about both reptile medicine. Dr. Daniels attends exotic medicine conferences and is a member of the Association of Reptile and Amphibian Veterinarians (ARAV). She will see any non-venomous snake or lizard, as well as turtles and tortoises. Dr. Daniels has experience with preventative care and surgical procedures in reptiles. For all her patients, she implements a fear free approach and prioritizes preventative care and proper husbandry to keep pets happy and healthy.

In her free time, she enjoys hiking, traveling, and going to concerts with her husband. Together, they share two dogs, three cats, three ball pythons, and one boa constrictor.
